Hong Kong resumes poultry imports from Thailand

Hong Kong has resumed importing poultry meat and products from Thailand due to improved bird flu control measures, according to the Centre for Food Safety.

Hong Kong suspended Thai imports in January 2004 due to Thailand's highly pathogenic bird flu situation.

However, Thailand has reported no further bird flu cases, and has since regained its bird flu-free status with the World Organisation for Animal Health in April.
