Finland to vote GM corn use in EU
Finland's Cabinet Committee on European Union Affairs has decided that it will support allowing three varieties of GMO corn to be used for food and feed in the EU. The EU countries will decide on the issue in October 2007.
According to Finland's Ministry of Trade and Industry, the EU countries will most likely disagree and a vote will be impossible. The Commission will most likely allow the marketing of the corn.
