Mexico removes Central Valley Meat as eligible US beef exporter

Mexico has excluded Central Valley Meat from its list of eligible U.S. beef exporters, according to the country's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The agency didn't explain on the website why Mexico delisted the California-based beef production plant. FSIS officials couldn't be reached before press time.

The move comes a month after USDA shut Central Valley down amid allegations of abusing cull cows on their way to slaughter.
