Ukraine Harvested 35.808 Million MT Grain To September 20
 
Ukraine harvested 35.808 million metric tons of grain to Sept. 20 with an average yield of 2.91 tons a hectare, an agriculture ministry official said from Kiev Tuesday.
 
The grain was harvested on 12.345 million hectares, which is just over 97% of the planned total area.
 
Ukraine's grain harvest fell in 2003 due to adverse weather conditions to just over 20 million tons, from nearly 40 million tons in 2002.
 
The agriculture ministry expects the 2004 grain harvest at 32-35 million tons.
