Madhya Pradesh, India, to drive efforts toward doubling milk production

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, Dr. Mohan Yadav, said that special efforts will be made for animal husbandry and milk production in the state by empowering the Sanchi Milk Union.

According to Dr. Yadav, who was addressing an employee dialogue organised at the Sanchi Milk Plant in Indore, efforts will be focused on doubling Madhya Pradesh's current milk production and further strengthening the Sanchi brand through cooperation. Bonuses will be given to cattle farmers based on milk purchases in the state. Furthermore, efforts will be made to boost the consumption of Sanchi milk. 

Additionally, a new scheme will ensure cattle farmers, who rear more than 10 cows, are supported with subsidies on animal husbandry and milk production.

Conferences will also be held to simulate farmers' milk production in the state.

The goal of the efforts is to make Madhya Pradesh a top milk producer in India.
