Cargill to acquire stock of several meat businesses in US's California

Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation has announced its agreement to acquire the stock of several meat businesses in Fresno, California State.

The list of businesses to be acquired included Beef Packers Inc., Fresno Meat Co., RPM Beef, Inc., and King-O-Meat, Inc.

Once the acquisition was done, the businesses would become part of the Cargill Taylor Beef business unit of Cargill Meat Solutions. The deal was expected to be complete by end-December this year.

Cargill Taylor Beef said the businesses would allow Cargill Meat Solutions to further build its position on the west coast of the US, and create opportunities for customers and cattle suppliers.

Cargill Taylor Beef processes mature and fed cattle, for boxed beef, boneless beef and custom-formulated ground beef.
