Singapore allows import of Argentina's pork products

Argentina had succeeded in opening the Singapore market for its pork and pork products, resulting in the authorisation of three meat packing plants in the former.

Argentina's National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (Senasa) received communication from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) in which it accepts the last proposal of certificate sent by the Argentine agency, with immediate entry into force, agreeing upon the requirements for the export of pork, offal and processed and transformed pork products from Argentina to Singapore.

The three companies, which were audited virtually in December, have been authorised to enter the Singapore market while the remaining five proposed companies will be authorised by Senasa's recommendation to their Singaporean counterparts.
