China methionine market lacks momentum as buyers limit buying
Prices of methionine were unchanged during the week ending September 19.
Demand for methionine softened after feed millers have stockpiled some inventories. Staying cautious, Chinese buyers were reluctant to accumulate high inventories of methionine even though poultry farming enjoyed lucrative profits of late.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were mostly stable in the range of RMB24-24.50/kg.
