Vietnam to import another 260 million doses of bird flu vaccine

Vietnam will be bringing in another 260 million more doses of bird flu vaccine to continue its poultry vaccination programme nationwide, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development' Veterinary Department.

This move will bring the total number of imported vaccine to 380 million doses, estimated to be worth about VND100 billion, said Quang Anh, the department director.

About 21 provinces and cities have completed the poultry vaccination programmes, and the vaccination will continue in high-risk provinces and cities.
