The letter also detailed the formation of a joint working group involving the Department of Agricultural Marketing, the Department of Livestock Services, and various poultry-related organisations. This group was tasked with determining reasonable prices for chickens and eggs for 2024.
Following the recommendations of this group, the Ministry of Agriculture reviewed the report and requested the necessary steps to implement the pricing. The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has now directed the enforcement of these revised prices.
