Israel's Hadarom reports outbreak of Newcastle disease
Israel's veterinary authority sent an Immediate Notification dated September 13 to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) on an outbreak of Newcastle disease in Ashkelon in the southern region, Hadarom.
The Newcastle disease outbreak, which started on September 10, affected a flock of 17,000 six-and-a-half-week-old broilers, just before marketing. Around 2,000 of them showed symptoms, 600 died and 16,400 have been destroyed.
