Ukraine becomes full member of IGC
Ukraine has become the full member of the IGC and paid up all membership dues, including dues for 2009-10 marketing year, according to Vladimir Klimenko, the president of the Ukrainian Grain Association.
The IGC is the intergovernmental organisation, dealing with grain trading issues.
The council monitors the realisation of the convention of grain trading of 1995.
As of June 2009, member countries of IGC include Argentina, Australia, Canada, the EU, India, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Ukraine, the US, Algeria, Bolivia, Cote d'Ivoire, Cuba, Ecuador, Egypt, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Korean Republic, Morocco, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia and Vatican.
