Russia's grain production to reach 65 million tonnes

Grain production in Russia in 2010 will total 65.1 million tonnes, down 32.9% compared to grain production in 2009, according to the August forecast of WJ ProZerno.

WJ ProZerno decreased barley production forecast in the country to the level of 8.9 million tonnes. Wheat production is estimated at 43 million tonnes.

According to the renewed balances of APK-Inform Agency, in the current year, grain production in Russia will total 69.1 million tonnes (97.1 million tonnes in 2009). The experts expect wheat production to decrease to the level of 44.8 million tonnes.
