Arla Foods re-organises itself
Scandinavian dairy company Arla Foods has announced a new organisational structure that will help it meet the changing needs of its consumers.
Instead of having one central head office, Arla will now have a new corporate centre that will put together inter-group functions for which geographical location is not a key factor.
Arla's activities will now centre on four major business areas such as Consumer Nordic, Consumer International, Consumer UK and Global Ingredients.
The company added that the four core areas would strengthen the company's position in the Nordic area and international markets, thus ensuring its milk producers get sufficient milk prices.
Consumer UK's activities will bring together Arla Foods UK, Arla Foods' cooperation with Fonterra, and export activities from Sweden and Denmark to the UK.
