Chia Tai Group opens new feed mill in China

 

 

Chia Tai Group recently put its US$25-million new feed mill located in Jingchuan, China in operation, with an operating capacity of 300,000 tonnes. 
 

The new feed mill, to be operated by its Lanzhou branch, features a large production workshop, using a domestically procured fully automated production line.

 

The feed mill will employ Chia Tai Group's scientific nutritional formula, computer-controlled production process, stringent quality control, for the processing and production of high quality feed that serve needs at different growth stages of aquatic animal nutritional needs.

 

The total project will cost RMB150 million (US$25 million), and will have a annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes, to be completed in two phases.

 

The first phase, which is completed, costs RMB120 million (US$20 million) for the construction of the main plant, laboratories, library, finished products, etc. The new plant will have an annual output of 150,000 tonnes of feed, bringing in annual revenue of RMB495 million (US$81 million), profits of RMB50.6 million (US$8.3 million), and employ 200 people.

 
The construction of the feed mill  marks the county's 2012th introduction of key industrial investment projects. It comes in a time of rapid development of animal husbandry in the surrounding areas to provide adequate feed supply for further extension of the agricultural industrial chain.
