South Korea accepts EU regionalisation measures to fight ASF
South Korea recognises strict regionalisation measures adopted by the European Union to combat outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) and avian influenza.
Thanks to intensive high-level engagement between the European Commission and South Korea, EU countries can now more easily export pork and poultry to the country. South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) decided to lift a trade barrier that has long affected European exports of pork and poultry products.
The decision will benefit 11 EU countries that have been allowed to export poultry and poultry products to the country.
