Twofold increase in Russia's live animals export in first 8.5 months of 2022

 

 

Russia saw a twofold increases in the export of live animals in the first 8.5 months of 2022 as compared with the same period of 2021, according to results from the country's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision.

 

In the period, more than 114,700 head of pigs (48.3% of total volume), cattle (10.9%) and small ruminants (40.8%) were shipped.

 

In the first 8.5 months of 2021, the total volume was 56,300 heads.
