Brazil's hog slaughter rose 6.6% in Q2 2022

Brazil's hog slaughter increased 6.6% in the  second quarter of 2022 year-on-year and 2.6% compared to the previous quarter.

The country's hog slaughter totaled 14.00 million head in the period.

Total carcass weight was 1.30 million tonnes in the second quarter, a 6.0% increase from the same period in 2021 and a 4.5% increase from the first quarter of 2022.
