APC appoints new director of Asia Pacific sales and Global Technical Services

APC has announced the appointment of Dr. Yanbin Shen as director of Asia Pacific sales and Global Technical Services.

In his expanded role, Dr. Shen will lead the Asia Pacific sales team while continuing to oversee the Global Technical Services team, reinforcing APC's commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

Dr. Shen has a distinguished academic background, holding a BS and MS in animal science and feed technology from China Agricultural University (CAU), and a PhD in swine nutrition from North Carolina State University.

He has authored over 20 publications including scientific abstracts, conference proceedings, refereed journal articles and has been recognised with awards from the American Society of Animal Science for his contributions to animal nutrition research.

Before joining APC, Dr. Shen held several senior roles at Cargill Inc. He served as the global swine technology lead, innovation leader, and swine nutritionist, where he was responsible for research and development and promotion of swine feed and nutrition and provided technical support to large swine farms.

Dr. Shen joined APC in 2019 as global technical sales manager and was promoted to global technical service director in 2021 with expanded responsibilities in 2022 as North American R&D director. His leadership and expertise have driven significant growth in APC's global markets and strengthened its reputation in the industry.

Dr. Shen also serves as an adjunct professor at NC State University and chair elected for the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Nutrition Committee. He is a member of the American Society of Animal Science.

Dr. Shen's technical acumen and visionary leadership have consistently contributed to APC's success, and his expanded role will enable the company to continue its momentum in the Asia Pacific region and beyond, APC said.
