Mexico's pork imports rose 3.5% in H1 2023

Mexico's pork imports at the end of the first half of 2023 totaled 737,442 tons, an increase of 3.5% over the same period in 2022.

The country's total value of pork imports reached US$1450.7 million.

The volume of exports consolidated in the first half of the year fell 15.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, from 120,227 tonnes to 101,515 tonnes.

The value of exports (US$401.9 million) decreased by 16.9% and the average export price was US$3,959/tonne.
