Argentina's pork production increased 4.8% in January-July 2023

Argentina's total pork production from January to July this year reached 435,532 tonnes, representing an increase of 4.8% compared to the same period in 2022.

In July, 64,637 tonnes were produced, which represented an increase of 3.3% compared to the same month of 2022 and a decrease of 0.4% compared to June.

The average carcass weight for July was 97kg bone-in, representing an increase of 1kg compared to the same month of the previous year and with respect to June.

Results by category show an average of 95kg for barrows, while immunocastrated males reached 101kg.
