Increase in Vietnam's tra fish exports to Europe

Vietnam saw a growing percentage of its tra fish exports to Europe, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).

Exports to Germany have increased 25% so far this year over the same period last year. Exports also grew for those to New Zealand (17%), Sweden (25%) and Finland (by 18-fold), Vietnam Plus reported.

Analysts anticipated that declines in other markets will gradually narrow over the rest of 2023 as the holiday season shows promises. There is a hope that tra fish exports may reach nearly US$1.8 billion in 2023.
