Danish delegation inspects feed production condition at factory in Hung Yen, Vietnam

Denmark has recently sent experts to Vietnam to provide technical support and take samples for quality inspection to certify conformity of imported animal feed at ports.

These activities occurred within the framework of the Sectoral Strategic Cooperation Program (SSC) between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the Danish Ministry of Environment and Food.

Last month, a delegation from Denmark's Department of Livestock Production assessed the conditions of animal feed production at a factory owned by the Hanoi Pharmaceutical and Veterinary Joint Stock Company (Hung Yen branch), located in Vietnam's Hung Yen province. The factory has a complete compound feed production line and a powder supplement production line.

The meeting was attended by the Danish delegation to provide technical assistance in improving the institution for Vietnam's livestock industry.

The assessment activities of the Department of Livestock Production have ensured urgency, honesty and objectivity, and bear many similarities with the management of feed quality control in Denmark.

Experts have also shared more about how law enforcement is implemented on feed management in Denmark. Still, they suggested that the feed factory should further strengthen biosecurity and hygiene.

The representative from Hanoi Pharmaceutical and Veterinary Joint Stock Company, Nguyen Quy Cuong, agreed with the points that the evaluation team pointed out. He affirmed that he had drawn many useful lessons from the evaluation done by the Department of Livestock Production to further improve the production process, improve product quality and commit to overcoming shortcomings as soon as possible.
