Russia's wheat, meslin exports reach 7.9 million tonnes
In the seven months through July, Russia's exports of wheat and meslin, a mixture of wheat and rye, reached 7.9 million tonnes.
Exports of wheat and meslin were 6.1 million tonnes in the first six months, and shipments in July were 1.8 million tonnes, the Federal Customs Service said Monday (Sep 10) in an e-mailed statement. The service didn't provide a comparison with a year earlier.
Wheat and meslin imports were 9,400 tonnes in July and reached 55,600 tonnes in the first seven months, according to the statement. Imports of barley were 429,000 tonnes in the period and 57,300 tonnes in July, the service said.
