Jordan buys 150,000 tonnes feed barley via tender

Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry said Monday (September 10) it bought 150,000 metric tonnes of feed barley in a tender that closed September 5.

Of the total Jordan bought 50,000 tonnes from Agrico at the price of US$399.93 a tonne, 50,000 tonnes from Nidera at the price of US$430/tonne and 50,000 tonnes from Glencore at the price of US$435/tonne, Muhannad Ghesh, senior importer at the ministry told Dow Jones Newswires.

The barley was purchased on a cost and freight basis for shipment during the second half of September and the first half of October, he added.
