Taiwan Sugar Corp. is seeking to buy a total of 35,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 2 corn and U.S. No. 2 soybeans in a tender Tuesday at 0600 GMT, a TSC official said on Sept 8.

Shipment dates will be Sept. 18 to Oct. 2 from the U.S. Gulf, or Oct. 3-17 from the Pacific Northwest, said the official.

Of the total quantity, TSC is looking to buy 23,000 tons of corn and 12,000 tons of soybeans, he said.

July 17, TSC agreed to buy a combined cargo of 35,000 tons of U.S. corn and soybeans from Toepfer in a tender, said traders earlier. Of the total, TSC agreed to pay US$131.51 a ton, cost and freight, for 20,000 tons of corn. TSC agreed to a price of US$265.01/ton, C&F, for 15,000 tons of soybeans, they said. In that deal, shipment dates were Aug. 1-15 from the U.S. Gulf, or Aug. 15-30 from the Pacific Northwest.
