Ukraine's poultry farmers union foresees over 120,000 tonnes chicken export

The "Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine" anticipates chicken export of 120,000-130,000 tonnes in 2013.

"The next year's export is expected to reach 100,000 tonnes to the member states of the Customs Union and 20,000-30,000 tonnes to Europe," Head of the Association Oleksandr Bakumenko noted.

According to Bakumenko, export of powdered eggs and chicken is beneficial for Ukraine. Ukraine ranks eighth among world's egg producers with the output being 1.5-2 billion eggs, he said.

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) will shortly announce its decision on the quality of Ukrainian product.

As Ukrainian News reported, the Veterinary Medicine experts of the Customs Union of the Common Economic Space (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) carried out the inspections at the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine and 29 domestic dairy, fish and meat processing companies.
