US' Cantrell develops new gizzard inspection system
Cantrell, a poultry processing equipment sales and service company based in Gainesville, Georgia, has developed a new gizzard inspection system - GIS 1002.
The GIS 1002 requires only two employees to inspect the gizzards, instead of the usual four.
It can run 280-300 gizzards per minute that reduces the work load on the remaining employees in the process.
It adds more automation to the gizzard harvesting system for added safety on the remaining employees handling the product.
The GIS 1002 separates transport water from the product and reprocesses the selected gizzards for further peeling and discharges a cleaner and better peeled product.
