Lithuania's Rokiskio dairy sales up 33% to US$185 million
Rokiskio Suris (Rokiskis Cheese), one of the biggest dairy groups in Lithuania, reports that its consolidated sales revenues for the eight months through August jumped by 33.13% year-on-year to US$184.865 million, based on preliminary data.
Monthly sales in August rose by 29.87% year-on-year to US$28.204 million, Rokiskio Suris said in a statement to the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange.
The dairy group last year saw its consolidated annual sales shrink by 1.2% to $226,240. Its annual net profits soared by 63.9% to $10.037 million.
Rokiskio Suris CEO Antanas Trumpa and Pieno Pramones Investiciju Valdymas, a firm controlled by Trumpa, held 61.43% of shares in the dairy company at the end of June.
The dairy company is quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange.
