Brazil's Rio Grande Containter Terminal sees 57% spike in pork exports in first seven months of 2023

 

 

 

Brazilian shipping company Wilson Sons' Rio Grande Container Terminal in Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil, has reported record of pork exports which grew by 57% in the first seven months of the year, compared to the same period in 2022.

 

The increase was driven by Asian countries, mainly China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

 

This year, the terminal's pork exports totalled 3,620 containers, compared to 2,307 boxes from January to July 2022.

 

Additionally, pork exports totalled 102,051 tonnes versus 64,751 tonnes for the same period of 2022.
