Tight supply pushes up China lysine prices

Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending September 5.

While output remained limited due to production halts, lysine producers lifted prices amid dwindling stocks, prompting distributors and traders to follow suit.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were higher at RMB5.20-5.50/kg.

Tight availability of lysine will help to underpin prices.

RMB1=US$0.1534 (Sep 5)
