FAMI-QS cautions issuance of certificates from non-authorised bodies

Global certification body for the quality and safety of specialty feed ingredients, FAMI-QS, recently noted in a statement "a sudden increase of fake FAMI-QS Certificates circulating in the market." These fake documents are issued by unauthorised certification bodies and sometimes may not be easily identifiable.

As examples, FAMI-QS noted that certification bodies UK Certification & Inspection

(http://www.ukcertifications.org.uk/) and Royal Stancert BV (http://www.royalstancert.org/) issued FAMI-QS certificates for the companies Srimukh BIO Products and BioMed Ingredients Pvt.Ltd. respectively, which may create the impression that the companies are FAMI-QS certified.

FAMI-QS would like to inform all stakeholders that the above-mentioned are non-authorised certification bodies and are not licensed to perform FAMI-QS audits. As a result the certificates issued to the companies are not valid.

FAMI-QS-authorised certification bodies are available at: https://fami-qs.org/certification-bodies-6-0.html and https://fami-qs.org/certified-companies.html (for FAMI-QS Certificates Version 5.1 available until October 1).
