Bluestar Adisseo announces groundbreaking in China
On August 2, Bluestar Adisseo Nanjing Company Limited held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 140,000 t/a Rhodimet® AT88 project (Adistar) in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, Jiangsu province, People's Republic of China.
Construction expenditure is expected to be RMB3.3 billion (US$485 million), according to the EIA report filed on December 8, 2009. The plant is scheduled to be on line in the second semester of 2012. The project takes advantages of Adisseo's state-of-the-art technology regarding every step of the process as well as latest developments, and Bluestar's strong industrial base.
The plant is constructed at the Changlu section of the park. Major equipment included seven sections - synthesis of carbon disulfide, MSH, MMP, HMTBN, AT88 and ammonium sulfate.
