Ukraine's poultry count goes up 0.9% in July
As of August 1, 2010, Ukrainian poultry population rose by 0.9% or 2.084 million heads in July, as compared with June, to 235.151 million heads, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The poultry population in private farms went up by 1.6% or 2.065 million heads, and 0.02% or 0.019 million heads in specialised farms.
As compared with August 1, 2009, poultry population rose by 3.8% or 8.608 million heads. In specialised farms, the poultry population rose by 6.1% or 5.924 million heads, and in private farms the poultry population by 2.1% or 2.683 million heads.
Earlier in June, the poultry population grew by 13.1% or 27.049 million heads, compared with May, to 233.067 million heads as of July 1, 2010.
