China's Bright Dairy builds cattle farm in Wuhan

In an agreement signed on Tuesday (Aug 28) with local authorities in Wuhan's Dongxihu district, China's Bright Dairy Group will embark on plans to build a dairy cattle integrated farm in the central Chinese city.

Construction of the 330-hectare farm, which will cost RMB220 million in initial investment, will commence in the first half of 2008.

When completed, the farm can stock up to 6,000 heads of dairy cattle and it will be able to produce 35,000 tonnes of fresh milk annually. Other dairy companies with cattle farms in Wuhan are Mengniu and Yili.
