Improved export demand fails to lift China vitamin C prices
As supplies remained ample while buyers possessed sufficient stocks, producers had difficulty increasing the prices.
As of August 29, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C were generally in in the range of RMB24-25/kg.
Aquaculture production will dwindle gradually entering September as the weather temperature falls. With supplies abundant and demand waning, prices of vitamin C are unlikely to firm up.
