Addcon holds 3-day Academy event in Vietnam

The Addcon Academy, organised for distributors of Addcon Asia Ltd, was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on July 26-28.

This 3-day event is one of the biggest events in Addcon's short history in Asia, with distributors coming from several countries, including Jordan, Iran, Japan and Australia.

The opening of the event began with a German theme dinner at one of the most popular German beer restaurants in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

The main purpose of the dinner was to provide guests an opportunity to discuss Addcon businesses in their respective countries and exchange success stories about Addcon products.

The next day, formal technical sessions were conducted in which Addcon customer relationship managers gave elaborate presentations on different products.

Kurt Wegleitner, managing director of Addcon, delivered the sessions' first presentation on the current world situation set against the backdrop of the ongoing antibiotic ban in the region. Wegleitner also delved into the critical issue of grain spoilage and the necessity of grain preservation.

Dr. Anant Desphande later made an impressive presentation on the history of the antibiotics use in animal husbandry, emphatically stating that there will not be a "next generation" of antibiotics.

That presentation was followed by Dr. Christian Lückstädt's discussion about the various research activities at Addcon. Dr. Lückstädt introduced participants to some new concepts and products that Addcon will be launching, such as third-generation acidifiers like Addcon XL forte, FORMI Alpha and FORMI GML.

In addition, there was an interactive session where participants expressed their confidence in Addcon products and shared their concern on their availability.

Before  the sessions came to an end, Wegleitner revealed details of expansion activities within its production plant in Norway and assured timely supply of products in the face of strong demand.

Participants then joined a recreational river cruise and dinner on Saigon River, taking in the scenic, evening skyline of Ho Chi Minh City.

On the last day of the event, participants visited Binh Minh's feed mill in Dong Nai province. Duong Anh Tuan, director of Binh Minh Feed Mill Co., took the Addcon team on a tour and showcased the company's various operations.

"Addcon is proud of its highly motivated distributors throughout the region," the company's press release states, adding that it is looking forward to the Addcon Acidifier Summit which will be held next year.
