South Korea's NOFI acquires corn, soymeal in tender
Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI), the biggest feed producer in South Korea, has acquired about 207,000 tonnes of corn and about 60,000 tonnes of soymeal, which will be sourced from optional origins in an international tender, according to a Reuters report.
The yellow corn was bought in three consignments, amounting to 69,000 tonnes each. The first consignment was bought at around US$183.30/tonne, cost and freight (c&f), and will arrive on December 10 this year, European traders said.
All three consignments carry an additional US$1.25/tonne surcharge for additional port unloading.
The soymeal was purchased in a single consignment at US$349.71 a tonne, c&f, for arrival around Feburary 5, 2018.
