Vietnam's Hanoi to vaccinate about 4.2 million poultry

Vietnam's government has ordered Hanoi authorities to vaccinate about 4.2 million poultry and water fowl.

Local authorities were urged to take strict measures to control bird flu in Hanoi, as up to 70 percent of the capital's poultry was brought in from other regions.

The deadly H5N1 strain had earlier killed three rare civets at the Cuc Phuong National Park, about 120 kilometres south of Hanoi.
