Vietnam's fish testing costs likely to rise by 30%

 

 

The costs of conducting tests on fish products, to determine residue of antibiotics, may be increased to US$17 - US$23, a rise of 30% over the current level of US$13 - US$18, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).
 
Such services are paid for by fish producers, exporters and importers in Vietnam.

 

Fees for granting certificates and import permits to seafood enterprises are now 25% higher than current level of US$1.89.

 

According to the draft, fees for auditing seafood facilities are increased from US$9.46 to US$85.20. Several new fees are also included in the draft.
