Russia expected to export record high of grains in 2014/2015

 

 

Russia's Agriculture Ministry said that the country expects to export 27.5 million to 30 million tonnes of grains in 2014/2015, a record high and up from its previous forecast of 25 million to 27 million tonnes.

 

Russia is forecast to harvest at least 100 million tonnes of grains this year, the ministry said.

 

The ministry also said that the government plans to buy 5 million tonnes of grain from the domestic market in the 2014/15 agricultural year.
