Miratorg to increase cattle farms' number in Bryansk region
Miratorg aims to more than double the number of its cattle farms in the Bryansk Region, southwest Russia, to 30 from 12 by the end of 2012.
Chief executive Viktor Linnik said at a news conference on August 22 that "total investment in these projects will reach RUB44 billion (US$1.4 billion)."
In all, Miratorg plans to build 33 farms for 250,000 head of cattle, including 100,000 of stock cattle, by 2014. The commercial herd is planned to increase from 80,000 animals at the end of 2012 to 120,000 by the end of 2014.
