Vietnam's Northern Province supports farmers to raise pigs
The Yen Bai Province People's Committee of Vietnam with its Decree 40 has spent more than VND3 billion (US$144,000) to support farmers in raising pigs.
Accordingly, the province will aid 87 raising meat-pig units with the scale of 50 pigs per litter with the level of VND20 million (US$960) per unit.
The province will also support 71 sow raising units with the minimum scale from 10 pigs and more with the level of VND20 million (US$960) per unit and help recovery of sow herds for households affected by blue-ear epidemic in pigs in 2012 with assistance level of VND1 million (US$48) per year.
Assistance form will be carried out via granting cash for People's Committee of districts to assign households.
