Ban on Imported Poultry from China Lifted in Japan

Since there was no new cases of bird flu in the past 90 days in China, Japan lifted its ban on imported poultry from China.  Japan's poultry hygienists have inspected some poultry farms in Shandong province.

 

Every year, Japan imports more than 250,000 tons of poultry from China, making up 40% of Japan's annual gross poultry import.
