China Live Hog Weekly: Prices climb for sixth week amid dwindling pork imports (week ended Aug 10, 2018)
Demand for local pork and hence hog strengthened considerably as imports dwindled due to high tariffs. Pork carcass volumes expanded 2.48% to 7,714 tonnes over the week, lifting prices significantly by 5.30% to RMB18.67/kg.
