Ukraine's meat-processing firms increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 4.4% or 3,699 tonnes to 87,188 tonnes, compared with June.

In July 2012, production of meat and by-products of the first category fell by 0.8% or 690 tonnes, compared with July 2011.

In January-July 2012, compared to the same period of 2011, production of meat and by-products fell by 4.2% or 26,271 tonnes to 599,076 tonnes.

In June, meat processing enterprises cut production of meat and by-products of the first category by 6.7% or 5,960 tonnes to 83,489 tonnes, compared with May.

In 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category grew by 5.5% or 55,070 tonnes to 1,056,508 tonnes, as compared with 2010.
