India's STC wants new wheat import tender

The Indian government has asked state-run State Trading Corporation (STC) to issue a new tender for wheat imports, both in bulk shiploads and containers, according to a government official.

The STC is likely to float the tender on Thursday (August 23) and may not specify the quantity of wheat being sought, said the official, who did not want to be identified.
