Taiwan Sugar Corp buys corn, soybeans in tender

Taiwan Sugar Corp bought 23,000 tonnes of US corn and 12,000 tonnes of US soybeans from trading house Marubeni in a tender concluded Tuesday (Aug 22), said a trader in Taipei.

The corn will be supplied at US$179.95/tonne and the soybeans at 207.75 US cents a bushel above the Chicago Board of Trade's November contract.

The entire corn and soybean shipment will reach Taiwan Sep 18-Oct 2 if shipped from the US Gulf or Oct 3-17 if shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
