Ample availability holds down China methionine prices

Prices of methionine were stable to lower during the week ending August 22. 

Supplies of methionine remained abundant in China, exerting pressure on the market.

For liquid methionine, price quotes remained unchanged at RMB17.50/kg.

Methionine prices are expected to remain soft in the coming period.
