Russia approves seafood imports from 12 Chilean exporters

Russia's veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has approved 12 new Chilean producers to export seafood products to Russia, after the US, Canada, Australia, the EU and Norway imposed a one-year ban on all food exports to the country.

The western countries' trade sanctions have seen Russia turn to potential sources of seafood, with Chile's salmon in the top list.
